मुझे याद है जब मैं कॉलेज की फुटबॉल टीम में था और मेरे एक साथी को टीम से बाहर कर दिया गया था। ब्लड टेस्ट की रिपोर्ट के हिसाब से उस ने प्रतिबंधित दवाइयों का प्रयोग किया था । हम सब जानते थे की उस ने कभी कोई ऐसी दवाई प्रयोग नहीं की । लेकिन सवाल ये था की अगर उस ने कभी ऐसी कोई दवाई प्रयोग नहीं की तो उसकी ब्लड टेस्ट की रिपोर्ट में ऐसा क्यों लिखा है ।

काफी छानबीन करने के बाद ये समझ आया की वह जो प्रोटीन सप्लीमेंट्स ले रहा था, ये प्रतिबंधित दवाइयां उन सप्लीमेंट्स में शामिल थी । लेकिन ये कैसे संभव था । सब जानते हैं की सप्लीमेंट्स कमपनीज़ अपने प्रोडक्ट्स में प्रतिबंधित दवाइयों का प्रयोग नहीं करती । और ज्यादा छानबीन करने के बाद पता चला की वो सप्लीमेंट्स नकली थे । ऐसे बहुत से लोग हैं जो नकली सप्लीमेंट्स तैयार करते हैं और उनका असर बढ़ाने के लिए उन में कई तरह की प्रतिबंधित दवाइयां भी प्रयोग करते हैं । जब तक ये समझ आया काफी देर हो गयी थी और हमारे दोस्त को 4 वर्ष के लिए, किसी भी खेल में भाग लेने के लिए प्रतिबंधित कर दिया गया था । (more…)
