Reincarnation

Q: Please tell me about reincarnation. Whether it is a reality or not? I am confused about it.

-Olivia Wilson

A: Your question is not just your question. Almost everybody thinks in this way. Now I want to know that what my answer will give you. My answer will be just a belief for you. Your knowing should be your own experience. If your knowledge is based upon experience of other people, it will bring no change in you. It will be of no use.

Whether reincarnation is a reality or not, the truth will be the same. And if you want to know the truth, your approach for life must be fresh. As fresh as a dew drop on grass leaf in the early morning. If your whole search in based upon belief then you will never find it.

Before you discover, whether reincarnation is a reality or not, you must free your mind from all the beliefs. Just forget what Buddha has said to you. Just forget what Jesus ahs said to you. Free your mind from all beliefs. I am not saying that the Buddha or the Jesus does not know the answer. Yes they know the answer very well. But this knowing is a result of their own experience. Just by listening them, their experience cannot become your experience. You will have to find your own truth.

Before knowing the reincarnation, you should know about the incarnation. And before knowing the incarnation you will have to find out what it is that incarnates. Is it you or not? When you say, “I shall be reborn”, then reborn is not a question. The most important question is, who is “I” here. All other questions are just shadows of this “I”. Once you will know the “I” you will know the answer of your every question. This is called self-realization.

The idea of reincarnation is as old as “I” is. You should focus on that who is incarnated. What is it that reincarnated again and again?

The all three great religions of east – Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism are agreed on reincarnation. And all other three great religions which are born outside of India – Christianity, Mohammedanism and Judaism are not agreed on reincarnation. Now come to the strange side of facts. Buddhists do not believe in God or in Soul either. Yet they are agreeing on reincarnation. Now think, if there is not any soul, then what it is that reincarnated again and again.

I know the answer but I don’t want to tell you. If I will tell you the answer, you will cling to it. I don’t want my answer to be your belief. Because it will close the doors of all possibilities in you. Just become more meditative, just become more aware. Just free your mind from all the beliefs. Focus on the self, not on the shadow. Let it be your own experience.

Bless you.

  1. I think the most important part of this article is "Before knowing the reincarnation, you should know about the incarnation.
